エルヴィン エルンスト・クンツは絶対音感の持ち主で、プロ演奏家として長年チューリッヒ トーンハーレ オーケストラで演奏活動を続けてきた。彼はクラシック音楽ばかりでなく、幅広い音楽活動をしてきた。1960年代には、人気のスイス・バンド、レ・ソートレル（リーダー：トニ・ヴェスコリ）の編曲を手掛けている。中でも、アルバム「View to Heaven」の弦楽器用編曲はよく知られている。
このアルバムに収められた曲Heavenly Clubで、レソートレルは国際的に高い評価を獲得。1968年には、Heavenly Clubはスイスのヒットチャートに連続13週間登場し、6週間トップ・ワンに選ばれた。
Heavenly Clubは、当時、公式ヒットパレード に登場したスイスの曲の中で、初めてトップ・ワンになった曲である。
